Metro police are investigating a 13-year-old girl’s claim that a naked man exposed himself near a north Nashville school bus stop Wednesday morning.
The girl said she was on her way home after dropping off her brother at the bus stop at the corner of Brick Church Pike and Northbrook Drive when a man in a dirty, rust-colored truck drove up and honked.
The teen told police the driver was naked and appeared to be touching himself inappropriately.
The girl ran home and called police.
“Feels weird to know that something like that could happen to you. I don’t want that to happen to no one,” the girl told News 2.
Trina Thompson, the victim’s mother, works as a Metro Schools bus driver and was actually busing students to school when the alleged incident occurred. She’s proud of her only daughter for her quick reaction, but wished it never happened.
“If he’s not caught then it’s going to be someone else’s child or he could try to come back again,” said Thompson.
Officers are patrolling the area, looking for the truck, as their investigation progresses.
Metro Nashville Public Schools told News 2 they will be adding extra patrols in the area.
The man is described as a black male. He was wearing glasses and was last seen driving toward Brick Church Pike.
