Apparently at Tennessee doing interviews is a reward. Tennessee head coach Butch Jones was the only available for an interview after practice Monday in Knoxville because he says the players have to earn that privilege.
Jones canceled a scheduled post-practice media session with nine players Monday because he felt after a poor practice they did not deserve to represent the Power T.
The portions of practice Jones was most upset about were not open to the media.
Jones said Monday that “we have to stop using youth as a crutch, as an excuse.” Crutch or not the Volunteers have 32 newcomers and are one of the youngest teams in all of college football.
