Another bobcat sighting has occurred in Brentwood.

News 2 viewers reached out Tuesday morning after it was spotted walking right across a driveway in front of a home.

The home is also within walking distance from Brentwood Middle School.

Lance Herbert caught the bobcat on camera while it was still close by.

He said his family was loading up their car when his young daughter noticed the animal.

Herbert said there were distinct markings on its fur that helped him figure out what it was.

“He was larger than I would have anticipated a bobcat to be,” he told News 2. “He was maybe 40 pounds, somewhere in that range, almost like a dog.”

He said it had features of a Greyhound but lower to the ground, and what helped Herbert identify it as a bobcat was its tail.

Bobcats generally don’t pose a threat to people, but they do hunt animals.

Herbert’s said his outdoor cat has been missing for 10 days, and now the family believes the bobcat might be to blame.
