Early voting for August elections ended Saturday and the final numbers were record-setting.

Over 564,000 people across the state cast their ballots by August 2 this year.

In Davidson County, 30,875 people voted. In Rutherford, the total was 17,514, and in Williamson, 11,757.

Election day is Thursday, August 7. Citizens were encouraged to vote early this year due to the length of the ballot.

For that same reason, voters are expected to be met with long lines Thursday.
