A three-hour special of the CMA Music Festival will air Tuesday night on News 2.

Viewers will get to see up close and behind the scenes looks at this year’s festival held in downtown Nashville over a four-day period.

Aptly named CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock, the show will feature around two dozen performances of the genre’s giggest names.

The special, produced by Robert Deaton, is now in its 11th year and will be hosted by reigning CMA vocal group of the year, Little Big Town.

Not only will the group give you a peek behind the scenes backstage at LP Field, but the special features a few late night jams in a more intimate setting.

“It’s not an awards show. It’s not formal. It’s none of that,” Deaton said. “It’s about getting in here, having fun. It’s a party.”

The show airs on News 2 at 7 p.m.
