The Tennessee Titans held practice at LP Field Saturday night instead of their usual location of St. Thomas Sports Park. For Ken Whisenhunt,
it was the first time at LP Field as the Titans head coach.
“It was good to be here,” Whisenhunt said following practice. “There are always a lot of glitches that come up that you’re unaware of. I think we will feel a lot better when we come in here next Saturday night, just as far as the routine goes.”
The Titans kick off the preseason against the Green Bay Packers at LP Field on August 9th.
In the meantime, practicing on their home field gave the team a clearer picture of what is in store.
Wide receiver Nate Washington led the offense with four receptions as the first-team offense went head to head with the first-team defense.
“To see things go as well as they did for our offense today, I think it was good,” said wide receiver Nate Washington. “We just have to continue to build off of it. Tonight is one night, we still have a whole preseason ahead of us and a big season in front of us. We just have to hold each other accountable and things will work out.”
