Claude Humphrey inducted into Hall of Fame

Former TSU All-American Claude Humphrey was inducted into the Hall of Fame Saturday night.

The Memphis native has been a candidate for 28 years. During his time at TSU, Humphrey helped the team win two national championships under John Merritt.

Humphrey was a six time Pro Bowler who played the majority of his career with the Atlanta Falcons and helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to their first super bowl appearance. He finished his career with 126.5 career sacks.

Defensive end Michael Strahan, receiver Andre Reed, offensive tackle Walter Jones, linebacker Derrick Brooks, defensive back Aeneas Williams and punter Ray Guy were also inducted into the Hall of Fame.
