A single mother who was struggling to make ends meet has won a $66 million lottery.
Kelsey Zachow, who lives in Michigan, worked two jobs to take care of her son.
Her boyfriend, Billy Bartlett, is also a single parent who fell on hard times after he lost his construction business a year ago.
Their luck changed when Zachow purchased a winning ticket on Friday, June 13.
Eleven days later, she was informed that she had won.
According to ABC affiliate KABC-TV, Zachow opted for the lump sum of $27 million. She hired a lawyer and financial planner before collecting the money to make sure it is handled wisely.
The young mother plans to use her new wealth to pay for the education of her son and her boyfriend’s child.
She also wants to buy a car, go on vacations and purchase a new home.
