Just over a week away from the Titans first preseason game with the Packers, the Titans continue to implement Ken Whisenhunt’s new offense.

One of the many questions to be answered is, can he get more production out of the tight end position?

Craig Stevens and Taylor Thompson combined to catch just 5 passes all of last season and for a position that’s fast becoming one of the marquee spots on offense more production is needed.

Already, Thompson says they are becoming more involved in the pass catching game.

“We’ve had a lot of opportunities in OTA’s and the mini camps and now in camp, you know to make big plays. It’s a very tight end friendly offense,” he said.

Delanie Walker, who was the primary target at tight end last year, echoed Thompson, saying, “That’s what they’re doing right now in this training camp, seeing what these guys can handle, what routes they can run, what routes work for them… I see them making more catches this year.”

The Titans continue with camp Friday at 2:50 p.m.
