A two-year-old girl was transported to a Texas hospital after she fell to the seating level below her during the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus Wednesday.
It happened just before intermission at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, ABC News reported.
In a statement to ABC affiliate WFAA, officials said, “The child’s family was leaving their seats on the front row of the 200 level just before intermission when the child fell to the plaza level below.”
The child, whose identity or condition was not immediately released, was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
It is unclear what made the toddler fall.
The incident remains under investigation, but officials said they believe the incident was “an unfortunate accident.”
The circus continues in Dallas through August 10.
