A man was arrested Friday after police say he had over 2 pounds of synthetic THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.
Robert Nolen, 32, was booked on charges of possession of an imitation controlled substance and possession of MDMA.
Officials said they found the item during a search warrant of his home Friday.
“Synthetic THC has been illegal in Tennessee for some time,” said Sgt. Kyle Darnell. “The penalties for synthetic and regular THC are roughly the same in this instance.”
Nolen’s bond was set at $5,000.
