A Florida dog has been reunited with her loved ones after she became stuck underneath her family’s home for two days.
Homeowners called the Humane Society after hearing the dog, which was believed to have been lost, whimpering under the home’s floorboards.
After spending two hours digging, three Humane Society workers were able to free the 35 pound Shepherd mix and reunite her with her family, ABC News reported.
“They were just elated,” Humane Society spokesperson Twila Cole said of the family. “This was the best possible ending.”
It was later determined the dog, whose name is Abby, got underneath the home after she found a small opening in one of the home’s corners.
Abby was not injured in the incident.
