Man shot at north Nashville gas station

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man was shot at a gas station in north Nashville early Monday morning after two suspects approached and fired shots into a vehicle.

Police on scene told News 2 the two male suspects had been in and out of the Z Mart on Dickerson Pike throughout the night.

According to the store owner, two other men arrived at the gas station just before Midnight, bought a few items and walked back out to a vehicle.

Once they were inside, the two suspects reportedly approached and opened fire into the passenger side of the vehicle.

The passenger was hit in the arm.

The victim ran back inside the store for help and then took off toward North 5th Street for more help.

That was where officers found him and an ambulance transported him to a hospital.

The two suspects fled the scene.

Police described the shooter as a black male with dreadlocks wearing camouflage shorts and no shirt.

The second suspect is described as a black male wearing jeans and a yellow shirt.

Detectives are investigating if the shooting is related to another that happened later in morning along Ewing Drive.
