Nearly three dozen people were treated for alcohol-related illnesses during Keith Urban’s weekend performance at the Xfinity Center in Massachusetts.
According to The Sun Chronicle, 46 people were treated at the show, with 22 of those concert-goers being transported to local hospitals.
Police referred to the chaotic scene as a “mass causality incident” due to the high number of people who suddenly became ill.
More than 50 people were also placed in protective custody and several others were taken into custody on alcohol-related issues.
According to the newspaper, 18,000 people were in attendance at the Mansfield, Massachusetts concert and that safety officials were outnumbered by attendees.
Urban is on his current tour “Raise’em Up.” His next show is scheduled in Cincinnati on Thursday.
