A fugitive wanted for nearly four years on multiple child rape charges in Wilson and Rutherford counties was finally returned to Middle Tennessee Friday.
Stephen Beck, 43, of Lebanon, was added to the state’s Top 10 Most Wanted list in July of 2011 after he failed to appear in court in Wilson County.
Beck was due in court on charges stemming from his August 2010 arrest on dozens of rape and sex-related charges.
He faced nine counts of rape of a child, 16 counts of rape and 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in Wilson County, and three counts of rape of a child in Rutherford County.
Beck was on the run until he was arrested earlier this year in Wilmington, North Carolina where he was found living under the name Jason Keith.
Beck is now being held in the Rutherford County jail on $1 million bond.
He is scheduled to appear in court next Thursday, July 31.
