A massive fire caused major damage to the historic Rebel’s Rest located on Sewanee, the University of the South.

It happened on the campus, about 90 miles away from Nashville Wednesday night around 11:30 p.m., Sewanee Today reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials said no other buildings were damaged in the blaze.

According to Sewanee Today, Rebel’s Rest had been closed over the summer to undergo renovations.

The home was originally built in 1866 by Major George Fairbanks.
