Thousands of dollars worth of high-end guitars were stolen when a Springfield home was burglarized last week.

Smokey Barn News reported the resident on Highway 76 East lost 17 guitars, a 1998 Kawasaki motorbike and a 22 inch iMac.

The owner stores the guitars in a garage and believes they may have been missing for a day or two before being noticed.

The Robertson County Sheriff’s Department is investigating and searching for suspects.

Marlin Rood, the owner of Springfield Guitars, told Smokey Barn it may be the largest guitar heist in the history of Robertson County.

Rood said it isn’t uncommon for people to offer him stolen guitars.

“It’s not a big deal. I just calmly walk over, lock the doors and call the cops,” he told the news outlet.

Anyone who sees the items photographed in the slideshow or has information is urged to contact the Robertson County Sheriff’s Department at 615-384-7971.
