Sounds drop series opener to Sky Sox

 The Nashville Sounds came up short in the series opener against Colorado Springs falling 5-2 at Greer Stadium.

Donovan Hand made his first start of the season for the Sounds but took a no-decision after allowing two runs on four hits through four innings of work.

Former Sound Chris Capuano had a solid outing for the Sky Sox, striking out 11 batters through seven innings while giving up just two runs on four hits.

The Sounds scored their two runs on a pair of homeruns by Matt Clark and Hector Gomez in the seventh inning.

The teams continue the series Tuesday night at 7:05. Michael Blazek gets the start for the Sounds.
