Just three days after the Braves released Dan Uggla, the second baseman has agreed to terms with the San Francisco Giants on a minor league contract.
Uggla will be assigned to Triple-A Fresno.
The 34-year-old was in his fourth season with the Braves batting .162 with two home runs and 10 RBIs in 48 games and 130 at-bats.
Last season Uggla hit .179 with 22 home runs and 55 RBIs. After reconstructive eye surgery last summer, the Braves reinstated Uggla in the lineup at the beginning of spring training, but began struggling and hit .080 in 25 at-bats during May.
Uggla is a three-time NL All-Star.
