Nashville Predators announcer Pete Weber hopes his health scare in February will help others know the warning signs of a heart attack.

Weber was with the team while they were on the road in Minnesota when the incident occurred.

“My story was this: It was 7:00 in the morning, went up to the fitness center in the hotel and I realized I didn’t have as much oomph as I have on the elliptical,” Weber told News 2.

He said he felt a pins and needles feeling across his jaw as he started his workout. He shared his symptoms with hockey trainers and was in the hospital 45 minutes later.

Weber said he likes to share his story with others so they know what to look for.

“Just need to listen to your body, read your body and listen to what it’s telling you.”

Weber is recovering and preparing for another season of broadcasting the Predators games. He wanted to thank fans who sent him messages and cards during his recovery.

He said the support meant a great deal to him and his wife, Claudia.

The Preds open the season with a home game on October 9.
