Metro police are looking for five men who stole thousands of dollars worth of handbags from Nordstrom department store in Green Hills.
According to a press release, the men walked into the Chanel section of the store on July 10 and calmly started pulling purses off the shelves.
They then took off toward Hillsboro Road in a black Buick sedan.
The car had an out of state license plate and may have actually been rented in Kansas City.
Authorities are investigating whether or not the thieves were also behind a recent high dollar shoplifting case in Missouri involving Louis Vuitton purses.
Officials said the suspects are five black males who appear to be in their 20s.
They hope surveillance video of the crime will lead to their arrests.
Anyone with information on the crime is urged to call Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.
