Tennessee linebacker AJ Johnson enters his senior season picked first team All-SEC by the Media.
The Senior from Gainesville, Georgia led the Volunteers in tackles last season with 106 and with 8.5 tackles for loss. Johnson enters his final season with 34 career starts in three seasons.
He also starts the season on the watch lists for the Lombardi, Butkus and Bednarik awards.
Overall it was not a flattering day for the Volunteers or the Vanderbilt Commodores. Johnson was the only player named first or second team for both schools. Tennessee Sophomore receiver Marquez North was named to the third team.
Tennessee was picked to finish 5th in the SEC East. Vanderbilt was picked right behind at 6th.
South Carolina was picked to win the East, Alabama the West.
