Tennessee football coach Butch Jones spoke highly of UT’s improvement on the wide receiver front at SEC Media Days on Tuesday.
Jones reminded the crowd that Tennessee is the “original wide receiver U.” He went on to say that big changes have been made at the wide receiver postion that will greatly benefit the team.
“In everything in our football program we talk about the power of the position,” Jones said. “And it’s the responsibility of every player at each position to play to the best of their God-given ability and to continue to develop to meet their fullest potential.”
Jones, a former wide receiver coach, also expressed his excitement with the amount of competition amongst the receivers.
