A man and woman were arrested Wednesday after driving to Nashville to pick up a shipment of meth at FedEx.
However, police got the package first.
According to affidavits obtained by News 2, the two suspects drove from Bells, Tenn. to the FedEx Office store on West End.
A narcotics unit intercepted the box in-between California and Tennessee and found five pounds of meth inside.
The officers removed all the meth except for one pound and set the box on its way to Nashville.
When 49-year-old Jeffrey Grammar signed for the package, police were watching and pulled him over near Vanderbilt.
They arrested Grammar and his passenger, 35-year-old Deanna Conners.
When police looked inside the car they found meth making materials including coffee filters with meth residue on them.
Grammar and Connors are jailed in lieu of $257,000 bond each.
