It’s been nearly six years since Tiger Woods won his last major championship, but he’ll try and end the drought this weekend at the Open Championship.
Woods has played just two competitive rounds since having back surgery on March 31, both came last month at the Quicken Loans National where he shot a 74 and 75 to miss the cut.
Tiger continues to recover from surgery and says he’s ready for Thursday’s opening round.
“Each and every week I’ve gotten stronger and faster, probably not quite at the level I think I can be at as far as my explosion through the golf ball but I’m pretty darn close.”
Woods is scheduled to tee off at 4 a.m. Thursday morning.
