A woman was arrested Monday after an incident in April when she allegedly hit her niece with a shoe, breaking the little girl’s nose.
According to an affidavit, Bertha Oglesby accused her niece of wearing her shoes and slapped the girl four or five times with her hand.
Oglesby, 58, allegedly then picked up a shoe and struck the girl in her face with it multiple times.
Oglesby was booked into the Davidson County jail Monday afternoon.
She is charged with aggravated child abuse and her bond was set at $20,000.
