Two people were arrested Sunday in west Nashville after police found them naked and asleep inside a parked vehicle that was running.
According to the affidavit, someone called and complained about a white Nissan parked on Heiman Street with two people inside.
Responding officers found Eboni Powell, 32, and Christopher Simpson, 33, asleep in the vehicle.
Powell was reportedly in the driver’s seat with her shirt on, but no bottoms and her pants were only on one leg. Simpson was reportedly in the front passenger seat completely nude.
The responding officer woke the two and took them into custody, according to the affidavit.
Further investigation revealed that the white Nissan matched the description of a vehicle involved in a hit-an-run accident earlier in the day. It also had damage on the driver’s side.
Powell reportedly told police on the scene that she didn’t know the damage occurred, where she was or how she got there.
When police searched the vehicle they found three open containers of vodka and a bag containing a powdery substance that field tested positive for cocaine.
Powell reportedly had a prescription for muscle relaxers in her purse that were for someone else. According to the affidavit, she told police she was a caregiver for the person and was holding the pills for them.
Powell was charged with DUI, indecent exposure, leaving the scene of an accident and multiple drug charges. Her bond was set at $28,500.
Simpson was also charged with indecent exposure and DUI. He was recently convicted of DUI in June for an accident that happened in March 2014. Simpson’s bond was set at $12,500.
