He struck another vehicle head on and was ejected from his Nissan sedan.
Rhodes, of Tullahoma, was pronounced dead on the scene.
A passenger in the second vehicle, identified as 63-year-old Phyllis Golden, was killed upon impact.
The driver, 63-year-old James Golden, and second passenger, 22-year-old Katherine Golden, were both injured. An update on their conditions was not immediately known.
