Two people were killed and two others injured after a man reportedly drove the wrong way on Interstate 24 in Manchester, Tennessee.

The crash happened Saturday evening when authorities say Patrick Rhodes, 35, was driving west in eastbound lanes around 6:15 p.m.

He struck another vehicle head on and was ejected from his Nissan sedan.

Rhodes, of Tullahoma, was pronounced dead on the scene.

A passenger in the second vehicle, identified as 63-year-old Phyllis Golden, was killed upon impact.

The driver, 63-year-old James Golden, and second passenger, 22-year-old Katherine Golden, were both injured. An update on their conditions was not immediately known.

Authorities said a third vehicle clipped one of the cars in the crash and was hit by debris, but the driver was uninjured.

A report on the crash indicated that alcohol was not a factor.
