Two men and three teenagers were arrested on Wednesday morning after a string of armed robberies.
According to the Columbia Daily Herald, the Maury County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call at Gas-N-Go at the intersection of Highway 50 and Interstate 65 where an armed robbery allegedly took place.
Deputies had been searching for suspects in other armed robberies in Columbia and later found a car that matched the description of the vehicle on the scene of those robberies.
Columbia men Avondre Jackson, 18, and Jakendris Scribner, 19, along with three juvenile males were found with an undisclosed amount of cash, cigars, cigarettes and a gun.
All five face charges in connection to robberies at locations including Prince Market & Deli, Krystal off Shady Brook Street and Daily’s Shell convenience store.
Jackson’s bond has been set at $350,000.
Scribner’s bond is set at $375,000. He also faces a charge of an adult contributing to child delinquency charge.
