The Nashville Predators are trying to learn how to adjust without Mike Fisher. The alternate captain underwent surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon on July 3.
Head coach Peter Laviolette said Fisher’s positive attitude will aid in his recovery.
“That’s half the battle in recovery is having the right attitude towards getting better every day,” Laviolette said. “I’m sure he’ll be back soon enough. We’ll miss him, but when he comes back we’ll certainly, I think, we’ll be a better team.”
Fisher is expected to be out four to six months. He had 49 points (20g, 29a) for the Preds’ last season.
