A fireworks store is considered a total loss after a fire ripped through the building Sunday afternoon in east Tennessee.

According to our sister station WATE, the fire started around 4:15 p.m. just off Interstate 75 in Campbell County.

Fireworks were going off when authorities arrived to the scene.

Crews scrambled to keep the flames from spreading to a nearby gas station.

The interstate was shut down as crews were on the scene to ensure the safety of nearby motorists.

There were no reports of injuries.
