The Nashville Sounds fell to the Round Rock Express 4-3 Saturday night.

The Sounds got out to a 3-0 lead on a three-run homerun from Matt Pagnozzi in the third inning but that would be all the offense the Sounds would create.

Mike Fiers took the loss despite having a quality start. He gave up four runs on four hits with no walks and struck out eight in his seven innings of work.

The loss cuts Nashville’s lead in the PCL American Conference Southern Division to just a half-game over the Express.

The two teams finish the three-game series tomorrow at 7:05p.m. Ariel Pena will start for the Sounds.
