A former Trevecca Nazarene University president celebrated 70 years of marriage Saturday.
Friends and family gathered at the Hardy Alumni Center to honor Dr. Homer Adams and his wife Beatrice.
They tied the knot on June 30, 1944.
The Adams have a son, daughter, three grandsons and three great-grandchildren.
When News 2 asked the couple what the secret to a long lasting marriage was, Beatrice responded, “Love, shared interest, and patience, [and] sympathy.”
Dr. Adams turned 93 on Thursday. His wife will be 92 on July 31.
