Residents in a Florida City neighborhood trapped a 12-foot Burmese python in a barbeque grill after it showed up in their neighborhood.

According to ABC News, the snake was spotted in the area Thursday night.

The Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s venom unit arrived to the scene and captured the python around 10 p.m. that evening.

Officials said the snake will be turned over to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Burmese pythons, which are native to Southeast Asia, are considered invasive species in south Florida.

Due to their large body size, adult Burmese pythons have few predators in the state except for alligators and humans.
