The Nashville Sounds won their sixth straight game Wednesday night beating the Memphis Redbirds 5-0 at Greer Stadium.

Matt Pagnozzi and Jimmy Nelson were the stars for Nashville. Pagnozzi had the fourth two-homer game of his career. He blasted solo shots off the guitar scoreboard in the 4th and 6th innings to give the Sounds a 4-0 lead.

That was more than enough for Newson who dominated on the mound again. Nelson gave up no runs and only four hits over 6 2/3 innings for his league leading 10th win of the season. The outing also drops Nelson’s ERA to a miniscule 1.56 for the season.

The Sounds finish their series with Memphis Thursday evening at 7 PM.
