A man who has already been convicted on drug charges was arrested in Nashville on Wednesday for more related charges.
Calvin Scott, 47, was riding a bicycle on Middleton Street downtown when police said they saw him get into a white Ford Explorer that had pulled over.
When police confronted the vehicle, Scott attempted to get on his bicycle and quickly ride away.
Police also viewed Scott throwing a set of scales used to weigh drugs out of the SUV.
Crack cocaine was found in a small piece of plastic in the vehicle.
Scott was arrested for unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and a felony drug offense. He was on probation for a cocaine conviction at the time of the arrest.
Scott has a combined bond of $17,000 for all three charges.
