Sounds pound rival Redbirds 8-5

The Nashville Sounds pounded out 15 hits to beat the Memphis Redbirds Tuesday night at Greer Stadium.

Five Sounds had at least two hits in the game led by Logan Schaefer who had four and two runs batted in.

Memphis started the scoring with three runs in the top of the fifth, but the Sounds put it away with a whopping seven run sixth inning. Jeremy Hermida started the inning with his 9th home run of the season. Hector Gomez added a two-run double and Pete Orr had a two-run triple as the Sounds took command.

The Sounds improve to 45-41 and host Memphis once again Wednesday evening at 7 PM.
