We are starting out our 4th of July week on a sweltering note, with temps in the 90s, and humidity creating heat indices from 96-100°.
However, we have a pleasant treat in store, just in time for the 4th of July.
A front will push through on Wednesday, bringing lower temperatures and humidity for Thursday, and lasting through 4th of July Friday and the weekend. Temps on Thursday and Friday will be in the mid 80s for highs and low to mid 60s for lows.
HOWEVER, we will have to keep an eye on some thunderstorms accompanying that front. Starting Tuesday evening through Wednesday, we will have the possibility for damaging winds and hail.
The Storm Prediction Center puts us in a “Slight Risk” for severe weather in that time period.
