Actress Amy Adams gave up her first class seat to a soldier on a recent flight.
Before the flight from Detroit took off, Adams, who was booked to sit in first class, saw the uniformed soldier at the gate.ABC News reported she privately asked if she could switch seats with the soldier who was booked for coach on the flight to Los Angeles.
Adams met with the soldier privately before she went to her new seat in coach.
“Ms. Adams did it so quietly and quickly that it speaks to her character,” fellow passenger Jemele Hill told ABC News.
Adams is known for her roles in movies such as “The Fighter” and “Man of Steel,” among others.
