A Campbell County man added to the state’s “Most Wanted” list for the murder of his girlfriend’s three-year-old daughter has been arrested.
Joshua Comer is accused of killing the toddler earlier this month, on June 10. He was indicted Tuesday for first degree murder.
Comer, 33, fled his residence on Whiteman Hollow Road in LaFollette, Tennessee when deputies with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Department attempted to take him into custody.
Comer, who has a history of theft, domestic violence and evading arrest, was captured Wednesday afternoon.
An autopsy on Gabriella Orton revealed signs of serious physical abuse.
The child’s mother, Amber Rezentes, is also in custody for aggravated child abuse.
Both Comer and Rezentes will be arraigned on Friday.
