The National Championship comes down to one game after Virginia beat Vanderbilt 7-2 Tuesday night in Omaha.
The win by the Cavaliers evens up the best of three series at 1-1 with the decisive third game coming Wednesday evening at 7 PM.
Vanderbilt had leads of 1-0 and 2-1 during the game, but could not protect them. Jon Norwood gave the Dores the 2-1 lead in the 4th with a double to the left field wall scoring Zander Wiel.
The rest of the game was all Virginia though who knocked Vanderbilt starter Tyler Beede around in the 6th inning for 3 runs and a 4-2 lead. Brandon Downs delivered the big blow with a two out triple to center scoring the final run of the inning.
The Wahoos tacked on two more runs against Beede to put it away in the 7th.
Brandon Waddell went the distance and got the victory for Virginia giving up only two runs on five hits to the Commodores.
