Former Beatle Ringo Starr has confirmed that his friend and former bandmate Sir Paul McCartney has recovered from a viral infection that put him in the hospital.
McCartney was forced to cancel a portion of his “Out There” American tour in order to recuperate, including his show at Bridgestone Arena, originally set for Wednesday night.
Starr recently said that Sir Paul, or “Macca” as fans call him, is “Feeling great. Rockin’ and rollin.”
McCartney was reportedly on vacation with his wife Nancy Shevell in Ibiza on Tuesday, before his tour starts in Albany, New York on July 5.
The former Beatle turned 72 on June 18.
McCartney will now play in Nashville on October 16.
