NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Former Predators coach Barry Trotz will return to Nashville to face his former team for the first time Jan. 16 when the Washington Capitals visit Bridgestone Arena.
Trotz was the only coach in Predators franchise history before being fired at the end of last season. He was hired as the Capitals’ coach in May. The Capitals visit Nashville on Jan. 16 and host the Predators on March 28.
The matchup with Trotz is a highlight of the Predators’ schedule that was released Sunday.
Nashville has six of its first eight games at home but follows that up with a six-game trip from Oct. 29 to Nov. 8 as Bridgestone Arena hosts the Country Music Association Awards. That represents the Predators’ longest road trip of the season.
