Two sisters from Chattanooga were honored for their bravery during a recent home invasion.
Breasia Morrow, 13, and her sister, Azariah, were recognized during the National 911 Convention in Nashville for their actions after thieves started breaking into their home.
The two sisters hid in the closet and called 911 for help.
“It was nail biting. That nine minutes felt like 30 minutes,” said 911 dispatcher Amanda Miller.
“Miss Amanda was very nice. She kept telling us to stay cool and be as quiet as we can be. She kept saying the police are on their way, and when they finally got there, she said police were right outside your house,” explained Azariah.
Police arrived while the suspects were still inside the house and quickly arrested them.
“By the grace of God, everything went well and by them staying calm, everything came out okay,” Miller stated.
The girls were not harmed in the home invasion.
