Sounds drop third straight game

The Nashville Sounds dropped their third straight game with a 4-3 loss to Tacoma on Sunday.

Sounds started Ariel Pena, who only last just three innings, giving up two runs on two hits and walking six.

Trailing 2-0 in the fourth, the Sounds got the bats going with a leadoff double by Sean Halton. Hunter Morris followed with a single and a throwing error by Jesus Sucre allowed Halton to score. Morris tied the game at 2-2 on a Taylor Green groundout.

Tacoma outfielder Jabari Blash homered in the seventh to give the Raineers the 4-2 lead. The Sounds scored once more in the ninth but left the tying run on first, losing 4-3.

The Sounds will try to avoid the sweep in the series finale Monday at 7:05 p.m.
