After failing to make an NFL team since 2011, quarterback Vince Young says he is retiring.
The former Titan told Brent Carney of KXAN-TV in Austin, Texas that his decision was official unless something guaranteed presented itself.
Young says he plans to work for the University of Texas in some capacity.
Young was the Titans number three overall draft pick in 2006 and was named the NFL’s Rookie of the Year.
He earned two trips to the Pro Bowl with the Titans but was released after the 2010 season.
He was most recently with the Cleveland Browns but was released after just 12 days.
If he does in fact retire, he will leave the game with a starting record of 31-19.
