The bodies of two teen boys who drowned at Cummins Falls State Park in Putnam County were recovered Saturday afternoon.
Kelly Brockman, the Communications Director at Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, told News 2 the 13-year-olds were visiting the park Friday afternoon.
They were on a field trip with the non-profit organization Backfield in Motion when they went swimming and had some sort of trouble in the water.
A search for the boys began at 2 p.m. Friday and continued Saturday morning in the swimming hole area of the park.
The bodies were later found Saturday afternoon around 1 p.m.
The names of the victims have yet to been released.
