A Pulaski man was arrested on methamphetamine and other drug related charges in Giles County Thursday.

Bruce Watts was taken into custody after he was pulled over by a state trooper for an unrelated traffic violation on U.S. 64 just before Noon.

The trooper reported Watts, 36, and his two passengers appeared to be nervous.

After consenting to a search, authorities searched purses belonging to the two passengers where numerous needles and coffee filters were discovered. Needles and other items that tested positive for methamphetamine were discovered in the vehicle.

Watts claimed ownership of the items found in the truck. It was also discovered Watts had one gram of meth on him when he arrived to the jail.

He is charged with methamphetamine for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia and introduction of contraband into a penal facility.

He was jailed on a $61,000 bond.

His passengers were each cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
