A 10-year-old, Sacramento, Calif. native received his high school diploma last weekend, becoming one of the youngest to ever do so.
Tanishq Abraham told reporters he was reading books meant for second and third graders in kindergarten.
He was home-schooled since the age of seven with his mother’s concerns of him being too far advanced for his grade level, and other students picking on him and stealing his belongings.
Tanishq passed a state exam in March, which certified he had met appropriate academic standards to receive his diploma.
His favorite subject is science; he wants to find a cure for cancer and also has dreams of serving as the President of the United States.
According to ABC News, Abraham is currently taking community college courses and will have his associate’s degree by next semester.
