An overturned FedEx truck slowed westbound traffic on Interstate 40 at Charlotte Pike in west Nashville for hours Tuesday afternoon.
The truck, pulling two tandem trailers, overturned just after 12:30 p.m. at mile marker 200, just past the exit to Charlotte Pike.
It took hours to clear the scene because crews had to upright the truck and first trailer and then the second.
The interstate was periodically shutdown during the process.
The scene was cleared and all three westbound lanes reopened just before 4:30 p.m. although traffic was still slow in the area.
No injuries were reported following the wreck.
It was raining when the truck crashed although it’s unclear if weather was a factor.
